Do you wait for ebay feedback before transferring money from PayPal?

Do wait for positive feedback before the transfer or do you transfer
the moment you are paid?

Just curious.

Thanks

Agreed. What would be the benefit of waiting?

I generally wait a couple of days after confirmation of delivery.
If there is an issue, it should be addressed by then.

Right away. Paypal doesn't pay anything anymore (it was a pittance anyway), so it goes off to my credit union.

As a seller, I find it's prudent to keep at least SOME money in PayPal just in case I need to issue a refund to a buyer. Otherwise if you have no funds in your PP account, the refund will go through as an e-check instead... in which case it'll take 3-4 business days for the buyer to get his money back. I don't think the buyer should have to wait that long to be made whole. As far as I'm concerned, if the buyer sent an instant payment, then he ought to be entitled to an instant refund as well.

I don't look at my feedback. I keep money in there to cover shipping, ebay seller fees, etc anyway. --Jerry

That too. A good percentage of buyers will never leave feedback anyway (or they'll post it a few weeks/months later), which is fine. After all, feedback is generally considered as a courtesy/optional only... and not everyone's in it for the accolades. Usually if someone's unhappy with a coin they'll let you know about it right away, so as long as the money and product have changed hands successfully and you haven't gotten any complaints within the first day or two, then no news is usually good news. But yeah... always good to keep some money in your account to cover fees/expenses, and in case you need to give an instant refund.

    Not by buyers.

Yes. I'm the cautious type and do not consider that money as mine until I get feedback....within reason of course. No worries about getting in a bind then. I am not moving large amounts of inventory so this makes sense to me.

I wait until delivery confirmation and then a day after that.

i leave money in paypal long enough to be sure buyer got the coin. i also leave enough in there to cover shipping/ebay/paypal fees. if you are not hurting for cash what is the rush? i`m moving money from one non-interest bearing account to another non-interest bearing account. its my money in both accounts so whats the diff? BTW i ship using ebay shipping and print labels using a no ink printer!!!(thanks jerryimage ) and have the postman pick up packages at my house. he hands me a usps generated receipt stating they made the pickup. i can`t imagine doing things any other way.

you guys do realize that you are accomplishing nothing by transferring the money out right away. If you do get a chargeback, your account will go negative and you'll have to transfer the money back in, right?
