I only added 5 ounces of silver this week. This poured Engelhard caught my interest since it lacks a serial number.

Why some poured bars lack serial numbers, so far I've seen 3 oz, 5 oz and 10 ounce examples, is a mystery to me.

You have a couple of common silver art bars. The "error version" of "The General" silver art bar was minted by Madison Mint in 1972. USSC and Madison Mint silver art bars are seen on ebay on a regular basis. Most USSC and Madison Mint silver art bars are very common. It is still a good purchase IMO of course I am a silver art bar collector and I tend to be biased towards silver art bars. image

I only sold this past week, but I always enjoy looking at what others have added to their pile as well.

Thanks again for the info. He had a bunch, mostly holiday/birthday bars. These are the only two that stuck out that I liked. I am getting hooked on them as well...I bought them at spot so how can I go wrong?

Buying any silver art bar for spot is always a good thing. I went to 3 local dealers yesterday and I struck out. They either 1.) Had no silver art bars or 2.) Had a bunch of silver art bars that I was not interested in. Most of the silver art bars that I have seen yesterday were holiday-themed silver art bars and most of those holiday-themed bars were generic Merry Christmas and Santa Claus bars. I ended up buying nothing yesterday, however, I plan to go to a couple of local flea markets to see what I can find since there are a couple dealers I know that work at those flea markets selling silver.

Oh BTW.....Be very careful about buying silver art bars because they can be very addicting and you could end up like me in terms of thinking about silver art bars 24/7. :image

Okay with me... This is money that I have put aside for the sole purpose of saving (putting into PMs). This is IMO more fun than regular bullion bars. Yeah, these are still bullion bars, but you can find one to fit almost any interest, hobby, or profession. It's awesome!
