#1 if that isn't a print line through the crest, the pic is clearer. If it is a print issue then #2 I guess, both are weak 9s IMO.
  • LOL, that's not a print line. The seller used a team bag to protect the holder.
I used to do that myself.
Tough call. I don't like either one. He looks like Clay Aikens from American Idol
    everytime I see this card.

I'll take #2 with the slight tilt and cleaner bottom edge.

I don't think there is a tilt on the second one. Looks like the card is not laying flat in the holder.

Bottom one. Don't care for the snowflakes on the top one.

    Hey Mathew,

I vote for the bottom one as it looks better centered to me, just not sitting in the holder well.

I say scrap these cards and buy a nice Kenny Linesman RC. image

    Matthew,

Bottom one - the top one seems to have the slightest nick at 6 o'clock that I cannot get my eye off of.

Thanks for the reply.I do think that the scans are pretty poor and would imagine they will look better in hand.

Now that being said, would you rather have this PSA 8 at 25% of the PSA 9 price?

As a 1970s RANGERS fan I would not want to own either of these cards BUT

from a pure collector's point of view I would go for the rightmost one. I dont see the
tilt in the side-by-side pictures and the rightmost one seems a bit better centered. Plus
the rightmost one seems a bit "brighter"

The PSA 8 seems just about as nice as either of the 9s. It is the
brightest, has similar centering to the rightmost PSA 9 AND it does
not have the "rough" right edge that the rightmost PSA 9 seems to have

The centering and tilt on the PSA 8 might be a deal breaker for me, although
I like the color and registration on the PSA 8. Between the PSA 9's, I definitely
like the 2nd one (bottom)... better centering and less snow in the background.

also, since these all seemed to be scanned from different sources, it would be
hard to get a true comparison of color between these cards. The PSA 8 scan
    has a lot more contrast/brightness.

  • I like the bottom one, but I'm not sure if I wouldn't take the nicer 8 with the slight tilt over the slight OC on the 9s.

Buy the card, not the douche bag.

As a 1990's Flyers fan, neither would I.

Of the three, I like the 9 on the right, the one with the 144___ cert number.
  • I would not be interested in any of them. I would wait for a stronger one.

Nearly all 1970 OPC Clarke Rc's are oc to a point.
He was one of my 4 fav players when I was a little kid.

This past year I upgraded my 8. Normally I don't get psa 9's in older HK.

My PSA 8 by itself. Corners are sharp...just not perfectly centered (normal for this card). If you are interested email or PM me.
I know you had some very nice HK for sale recently and I did buy a Coffey 9 from you a month or so ago....
so if you have something I need and want to trade thats also a possibility.

To my eye all three cards are identical (for all practical purposes) , so I would buy whichever was cheapest.
