Is eBay changing - - for the better?

RichieURichRichieURich Posts: 8,653 ✭✭✭✭✭
I recently reported two fraudulent listings to eBay. Here is one of the responses (the other was similar):

Dear Rich,

Thanks for reporting this listing to us.

I sent your report to our Coin Community Watch group and they agreed
with your assessment of the coin. As a result, I removed the listing.

Again, thank you for your report. We appreciate your help in keeping
eBay a safe and reputable forum to conduct business.

Sincerely,

Judith

Yes, recently I have received the same/similar response from eBay for the listing(s) I reported.

Yes, I've recently developed sort of a "zero tolerance" approach after I kindly emailed one seller and he basically hid the evidence instead of pulling the listing.

Judith is my friend too! I've had several hundred of those in the past year.

Like the above poster, many more to come!

And Judith sounds like a good American name, not a outsourced person from a foreign country, reading off a script. I like it.

On a different note. I found some notes I had on Lincoln cents in 2003 listed on Ebay. Average was 11,000 during the winter months and 9,000 during summer months. Now, its over 85,000!!!! its not getting better as most of those cents are real crap IMHO.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
