    The snow is a killer on that card...but eevn a 9PD will sell for a decent price, as that is one of the top 5 toughest cards in the set.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    I think it's a combination of the white PD on the left border AND the PD on the right black border just the the right of his sig. the snow itself doesn't look bad to me.

    Still, a helluva nice card.

    I've seen large fisheyes on PSA 9s, which is what I'd equate those spots to, but you may have a point. Still, without the snow, I think this card would not have been given a qualifier.

    From what I've seen posted, that Washington is a beast of a card. The Carew picture you posted was the 8, right?

    I believe so.. I had 2 nearly identical carews.. expected 1 to get an 8 and 1 for a 9..thats why I sent them together
    I will likely be cracking all 3

    they grade mini's so hard... I was thinking about subbing some of mine but I rarely see people have good results.

    9 out of 10 days they are brutal on minis. But once in a while....

    There was a pack rip a few months back. I just got my grades...

    A PSA 10 pop 1 Lolich (a PSA 9 of this card is only a pop 5, and last sold for around $400 in 08)
    A PSA 10 Lange pop 2.
    And a bunch of other tough ones in 9 and 8.

    Just takes that rare centered pack and a fair grader!
    That Claudell could be $1000 card in a nine holder, so worth a crackout.

    I don't know why they just CRUSH that poor Blyleven card every time someone sends it in. I've seen so many nice 8s, and the graders can just never seem to slap a 9 on one. I've sent in some examples I thought were as nice as many PSA 9 minis, and yet they often come back 7s. That Bly card has been a pop 4 in PSA 9 for at least four years now. Just a beast of a card.

    The Mets team in PSA 9 should come close to paying for the whole sub though.
