Wow, didn't see that coming. But good for him, he didn't owe the Cardinals anything. If they wanted him they shoulda stepped up to the plate and offered him the dollars. probably a good move on both sides to part ways now. Albert will definitely be enjoying the American League's D.H. rule in the later part of this contract.

I am actually pretty happy he left the Cardinals, so maybe now those jock sniffer Cardinal fans who have a God-like blind allegiance to him, and believed his lies...now get to feel that he isn't as Saintly as they thought...and that greed indeed is a motivating factor, and yes a factor certainly important enough for him to get whatever edge possible
