Poolhose to Anaheim?

Crap. I don't want the M's to have to deal with this guy. It will be cool to see him when he visits Safeco though.

<< <i>The Astros just can’t get away from Albert Pujols.

The former St. Louis Cardinals star and National League Central Division rival has agreed to a mega deal with the Anaheim Angels, and he will be waiting for the Astros when they move to the American League West in 2013 >>

I'm an emotional wreck right now (in a good way). I never imagined Arte would put the money on the table. Great news for my halos!

Nice to see that God finally got off his backside and made this decision for him.

I'm not to sure that this contract will look so good to the Angels in three or four years when he is 45 and making two million dollars a month for the balance of his contract. Make hay now halo's. MJ

  • Wow, didn't see that coming. But good for him, he didn't owe the Cardinals anything. If they wanted him they shoulda stepped up to the plate and offered him the dollars. probably a good move on both sides to part ways now. Albert will definitely be enjoying the American League's D.H. rule in the later part of this contract.

I hope the Angels did their due diligence on Albert's real age.
10 years, wow...for a player who has already started his decline.

image I remember when the very religious Mike Sweeney was contemplating retirement, he said he prayed God would help him make the right decision. I guess God felt that the millions Sweeney had made playing a kids game would see him through a few years, so he must have put his stamp of aprroval on it.

I'd like to know what God told Mike Sweeney in the seconds before he bull-rushed Jeff Weaver. Some possibilities:

"Go be a crusader, and knock out that hater!"
"WWJD? I'll tell you what he'd to; he'd go kick that freaking infidel right in the stones! Go get 'em, kiddo!"

Yeah, cuz religious human beings can't do things simply because they are human beings. It HAS to be something their belief system encouraged.

  • Albert, I thought money wasn't a factor in your decision making? Neither were records? I guess those two things that could drive a player to use PED's really were of importance to you after all!!!! SO your BS reason of "ONLY" God matters, was a lie....so you can no longer use that as your defense for your proclaimed innocence of PED use???

I am actually pretty happy he left the Cardinals, so maybe now those jock sniffer Cardinal fans who have a God-like blind allegiance to him, and believed his lies...now get to feel that he isn't as Saintly as they thought...and that greed indeed is a motivating factor, and yes a factor certainly important enough for him to get whatever edge possible image

Albert, we are STILL waiting for the public PED test you promised to provide the baseball world.

Are you sure about that five minutes!?

Lighten up. We're simply having some fun with the notion that God is giving career advice to professional baseball players.

Funny that Nettles gets brought into this, since his daughter actually married Sweeney.
