as far as cards being lost in the mail.....i have been on here for a year.I have NEVER had ANYTHING lost in the mail.Then a month or so ago,i traded with someone, i can't remember,i traded them 2 gu'd warm ups Q.Rich & someone else hell i'm old & can't remember....Now....i mailed mine as i was supposed to,but,he said he never got them,so i told him to NOT send what he had traded for them until he got them,he never sent so i guess he never got em.I just go by his word.....i traded ScoutDawg a Rookie Peter Warrick gu'd jersey,for a 3 jersey'd bills card,i got my card...he never did,so i know that it CAN happen anytime,to ANYBODY, i traded with trfstpitch & all went fine,but just realize that they can get lost,ask scoutdawg lmao...HE KNOWS....so the mail lost 3 gu'd in a matter of 2 to 4 weeks...ironic ?...i dunno,all i know is i lost them, & they didn't receive...so i was p'd off......now , if i trade with anyone else,& the mail losses the card,hell yeah i'm gonna be mad,& i'll send there card back (less its a jordan rookie )....so it can happen....as far as me trading with trfstpitch again....hell yeah i will cuz all went well with us

Thanks cardnyou, good point. What I keep trying to tell people is, just because 8kobe and Mik claim Tr's a bad tarder, does that automatically make it true? I don't know these clowns, but I do know TR, I talk to him all the time, and I TRUST HIM!

What's up with the Post Ofiices lately?? I've had 4 cards get "lost" in the mail since Christmas!!!!! I know the traders are honest people, it's the postal workers I don't trust these days.

might mean you don't know some of the older traders on here...

A trader is only as good as the trade you have... I can assure you
that maybe others weren't as lucky as you... Also it appears that
a good trader definition differs amongst traders...

Either way you may want to investigate past posts or listen instead
of making a remark that shows how much you don't know...

Cards don't get lost in the mail, simple as that, 97% of the time the person is making an excuse. Either they are trying to rip you off or they are trying to by time. It's very rarely true unless the sender screwed up the envelope or mailer like not putting the correct address or postage amount on. That is understandable but it's not the Post Offices fault there. Everyone needs to insure packages so receiver will have to sign for it. I always scan my receipt and send to them to show I sent and that it is insured...this really covers you. If it doesn't show with insurance you'll get to claim the $ value.

I was about to make a Thread about lost mail. I sold a card, sent it first because I had few ref's and its almost been a month and he says still nothing.

This makes me feel a lot better, maybe the card really is LOST!???

These are all great excuses,but as long time members of this board that last excuse seems to only be true in a very very few instances.
As others have already pointed out,it usually means they are trying to buy time or a potential ripoff is in the making.

This has been discussed many many times on this forum & the fact of the matter is;for $1.10 you can insure your pack for up to $50.00
& for cards valued above that it is not that much more expensive.
It is worth it for all parties involved to insure your goods.
For those who say they can't afford to do this,then you shouldn't be trading to anyone until you can afford it.It takes the worry out of the trade for both parties!! Common sense & patience will prevail if we
just use good sense when completing trades!!

Of course we will always have the nimrods with us who will refuse to do this or the bad traders looking for an easy score.Those are the ones you need to ferret out & expose for who & what they are.If we all stay vigilant,even you newbies,then all the good traders here will be better off & the bad ones will fade away to the bad traders toilet

uwftke26 Just because you say trfstptch is a good trader doesn't make it true either. He lied in the first trade. Asked him to return cards. He agreed to return them. No cards are here. Now if this is only case then that is one thing but it is clearly not. He hasn't even posted on here his side of the story which I would welcome gladly. I will check the postal mark if I ever get my card back. If it isn't near the date I will scan and post. There is more then just sending that card in being a good trader. In my opinion and some others that trade here also I believe that trfstptch has broken about every good trading rule ever. He misrepresented his cards, didn't send at same time like he said he would, tried to trade the card off before the other party received his card, continuely ignored complaints until it was taken public, and never returned cards as he stated he would.

The PO lost something of mine that was worth $250. Luckily i had insured it for $250.... I sent in september and the claims have still not been paid out. Man this is agrivating.

Also, I like to use UPS insured/tracking now since they come by the house and i can ship at around 6 at night....... although some people dont like UPS i think it's very reliable and if, in a rare situation, something does get lost UPS pays the insurance pretty quickly.


USPS is very reliable but mine was going overseas and I understand what happened.... but still its been like 8 months. lol
