Got my Wall ticket for May.
I don't collect coins past 64, but maybe someone here
can post some coins from the following years
corresponding to the release of the following albums:

1973 - Dark Side of the Moon
1975 - Wish you were here
1977 - Animals - Tied for favorite
1979 - The Wall
1983 - The Final Cut - Tied for favorite

    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Wall ticket for May? I love Pink Floyd but I hadn't heard they were doing a new tour. Are they? Is Roger Waters coming back? Who will replace Richard Wright? If they are touring I need to look into it. "Wish You Were Here" is my favorite album but I don't have anything from 1975 to post.

    Nice, saw them a few times. Also, saw Roger Waters Pros & Cons of Hitch Hiking twice, first time Eric Clapton was guest guitarist.

    Recently read they were working on some box-set to include
    out-takes or, some early versions of songs when they
    were in their heyday. I`m sure all that info is on their website.

    my favorite album was WYWH but all were great. the song The final cut from their last album was haunting. another fav from that album is "Not now John".


    is roger waters and david gilmore both participating in this tour? if they are i will go see them.

    Love Pink Floyd.....going to see the Machine perform The Wall here in NYC on 12/30/11. Saw them perform here in 2009 and what a show! And love collecting coins image

    One of my all time favorite bands! I had a chance to see them up in Vancouver BC in the early 90's.

    I'm also planning on seeing them in May.

    This thread has my name ALL over it!
    Could tell you MANY stories of my Pink Floyd experiences....

    1) Met David Gilmour in 1984 at the local mall during his Solo Tour of About Face promoting his new album and had him sign my Half Speed Mastered Wall Album

    How lucky/awesome was that?? image

    2) Have seen Gilmour solo, Roger solo, and Pink Floyd without Waters numerous times.

    3) Flew over to London with a buddy in 2005, WITH NO TICKETS, to try to get into image to see the 4 members of Floyd together on stage for the first time in 24 years and somehow it worked out. Didn`t know this would also be the LAST time they were ever to be on stage together. (R.I.P. Richard Wright) A dream come true. image

    4) Went and saw The Wall Tour last year 7 times in 5 different cities including a trip to LA (cross country for me)

    5) Also, on his second leg of his North American Wall Tour I have tickets for 4 shows in 4 different cities.

    Yes, I`ve been called crazy and lots of other things but besides collecting coins this is my true passion. image

    Love me some Floyd. image

    Oh, and don`t forget the mighty Led Zep! image

    One of my favorite Pink Floyd songs was "Several Small Furry Animals Grooving Together with a Pick in a Cave". Can't remember if it was on their Atomic Cow or Umaguma album, early college - kinda of a haze. Gotta be great show!

    I saw Floyd twice in Dallas without Waters on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, 1987 and 1988.
    Saw Waters on the Radio KAOS tour in 1987 in Dallas and again on the In The Flesh tour in 2000 in San Antonio.
    Never saw the original band together though.

    I saw the original tour in LA. We had eighth row center seats! Without a doubt one of the
    best shows (if not the best) I've ever attended. The sound system was mind-blowing as
    was the staging. By the way, I recommend the DVD of Roger Waters performing the show
    at the Berlin Wall ("Live in Berlin")

    I have been seeing them for years, absolutely. But does anyone remember true quad sound? Last Wall's, Dark Sides (apart from the conversation between Money and Us ans Them) - great seats mind you, mono mix?
