  • I think Suh appears to be this decade's answer to Darrell Russell: #2 pick, defensive lineman, early pro-bowl level success, multiple suspensions, etc... I just hope Suh straightens things out before he follows Mr. Russell's path all the way to an early exit.

Detroit fans are less then happy with their undisciplined team and especially with their cog.

The game against the Saints Sunday was a travesty. Several personal fools on OFFENSIVE players for losing their minds. Titus Young, Nook Logan and Brandon Pettigrew all flagged 15 yards for being dumb and al at key moments. One of them at the 1 yard line. Plus Burelson had not one, not two, but three offensive pass interferences call on him. WTF. What a bunch of dolts. MJ

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Seems to me that the team began unravelling when the coach lost his cool after that game in Sept. (IIRC)

Who were the passangers -- hitchhikers or hookers? If they were friends, they are not very loyal.

When you are young and exponentially more rich then your friends I'm not sure how loyal any would be in a tough spot. MJ

Let's assume for a moment that they were friends. From the accounts, Suh refused to call an ambulance for one of them, who then left and called her husband to take her to the hospital. Apparently, her insurance company denied treatment until she got the police report revised to indicate she was injured in the crash. So, now who's not very loyal? The woman who had to arrange her own trip to the hospital, or the driver that opted for an apparent coverup over the well-being of his passenger?

Some athletes [and for that matter just regular folks] seem to have a mindset where everything bad that happens in their lives is the result of "The Man" keeping them down, or some other external force. It never dawns on them to consider that there actions, conduct and choices do have consequences, nor that they are in large part responsible for what happens to them.

Suh has unlimited potential as a star player in the NFL. Whether he can handle being a star player in the NFL is an open question. He is young, hopefully he will wise up fairly soon, get himself together and not self destruct.

The accounts I read did not give details on the injuries. That is different now.

I don't know what is up with him -- he really seemed like one of the "good ones" when he graduated from Nebraska -- the first thing he did after signing his NFL contract was to donate $2 million to the univeristy.

Yeah, that's what doesn't make sense. By all accounts prior to his on-field trangressions, he was certainly someone to be held up as a role model.

Suh is back, and he blocked a potentially record-breaking field goal!
