Guilty Pleasure Sets

Theses sets may not be valuable but you love them for some reason.
For me:
Baseball - 1983 Donruss Action All-Stars - 60 large post-card size cards, 20 HOF'ers. I love the look of this set and enjoyed them upon their release. Nice big portrait shot combined with the interior framed action shot. Crisp focus and nice selection on the action shots. The backs had full stats, unlike Donruss' base set, and nicely detailed biographies. This is just a beautiful set.
Hockey - 1991/92? Future Trends Team Canada 20th Anniversary Set. For hockey fans, the Summit Series that featured the highly favored Team Canada playing the underdog Soviet team, which turned 180 degrees only to turn back the other 180 degrees in the most dramatic comeback in sports history, is well known. Outside of the hockey world, it is relatively unknown. It shouldn't be and when seen, one would understand that my phrasing of "most dramatic comeback in sports history" is not hyperbole. The 2004 Red Sox can take a back seat. These cards are amazing in that each player on both teams has a card and on the back of the card are quotes from the player and/or an opponent about the player or a sportswriter (Canadian or Russian writer) about the player. Also cards for each game and dramatic moments during the series. My favorite is the card on Phil Esposito's post game interview/address to the nation after the Vancouver game. Simply awesome set and the writing on the backs is an unbelievable bit of history.

WTB: PSA 1 - PSA 3 Centered, High Eye Appeal 1950's Mantle
Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
These sweet cards were insterted in Coke 12 packs and featured NFL stars done up in silly "monstrous" costumes.
<< <i>Topps Heritage >>
I disagree. Topps Heritage is a great product and holds it value, for the most part. Not sure you understand the definition of "guilty pleasure".
A "guilty pleasure" would be like....1989 Topps.....or '81 Fleer.
My #2 Ranked Michael Jordan PSA Basic Set
I like the 70 Fleer WS - another set providing great historical information. These and the 72 IA cards that had the "You think you know baseball" write-ups on the backs were some of my favorites as a kid.
I can understand the 78 Fleer football. I liked the fact that they had the NFL license and could show the team logos. The Super Bowl cards were really nice. I always hated the lack/airbrushed out logos on Topps.
Also, I agree that I wouldn't think the Topps Heritage sets fall into the guilty pleasure category.
Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.

Agreed- I'm a huge fan of all the Donruss Action A.S. sets up to 1985. I've always thought these would be incredible sets to get autographed.
Also 83 Topps, and 88 Score
**Little Fact - 88 Score was the first cards ever to picture a color photo on the back of any baseball card at that time.
Loved this set as a kid and it was one of the first sets I purchased when I started collecting again as an adult.
Kiss me twice.....let's party.
