Ramirez who apparently flunked a drug test and didn't want to man up and face the 100 game penalty...then immediately retired and went to Spain with his dad, has had a second thought. Story is that he will have a mandatory 50 game suspension if he is allowed to return to the game. Now plans to go into training and reapply.
Any team that picks this whacko up is asking for huge problems. No doubt more on this as the saga moves forward.

Manny has already won ... he has the third highest career salary in the history of MLB - $204,807,069.00

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

And I bet this idiot will be Broke sooner or later, dont get me wrong Manny will always have a place in my heart for what he did in Boston to the tune of being right there with Ted Williams as far as I am concerned, but the way he ended his stay in Boston really pissed me off.
Manny is not a smart guy, all he needed to do was except his punishment and say he would "Officially" retire after his suspension was over, it was his way of saying FU to baseball, well baseball should say FU to him and make him serve the appropriate amount of games once he "un retires" which I believe will be roughly 50 games to the start of next season.
<< <i>Who in their right mind would want some QUITTER on their team? >>
Because he'll give you .290-20-60

<< <i>You can get the same thing by calling the right player from AAA, who will (for the most part) appreciate the opportunity to play in the big leagues and play and act like it. >>
Those guys are called "phenoms," and not everyone has one.
