Older 1 ounce silver bars?

Any collector value in these? I went to the local Assay dealer the other day and found a 1 ounce Royal Canadian Mint silver piece, and another small rectangular AV (or something?) dated one one ounce silver bar with the date of 1981 on it. Any additional collector value here?

Not that I know of. Maybe for a bar associated with a historical event, like say a bar recovered from the Titanic. I have a toned round I think is worth a slight premium. Heck, I imagine there are some bar collectors out there who will pay for certain items. Collectors are funny sometimes. image

There's a book illuminating specific art bar issues which are valued with premiums. As for 'early' art bars, those struck in the late 60's and early 70's are considered early.

Jeff, there must be some collector value in these bars. I'm happy to pay you $3 over melt any day for a RCM bar.
