I haven't counted recently, but I'd guess at: half dimes ~ 45 or 50 Dimes ~ 50 Quarters ~ 20 or 25 Half dollars ~ 225 or so Dollars = 3
<< <i>Looks like quite a collection there - are you going for all/most of the die marriages? >>
Thanks, I'd love to have all die marriages, but that's a pretty unrealistic goal as I'll never have some of the really rare ones so for the time being, I will get everything I can get my grubbies on.
<< <i>And you picked a perfect day to have this thread...you'll see why shortly >>
<< <i>really? No 1822? What grade are you waiting for? >>
It's more a financial decision than a grade. But, when I can afford it, I would like it to be F or Vf, which will probably make it a long search. >>
sometime last year, maybe two years ago, Rich Uhrich had a PCGS VF25 (IIRC) OGH for sale. By the time I saw it and called, it was G-O-N-E. And I don't even collect dimes. It was just that nice. I think it was in the five grand range.
Is that a Dansco holder? Does it bother you that the small size don't fit too snuggly? My son bought a Dansco for his bust dime collection and it lasted about 1 day because he couldn't stand the gap on the smaller size dimes.
Nice collection - I can't wait to see the quarters.

I hate that they rattle around and end up spinning in the ports, but ...
Quarters may need to wait til next weekend. But I'll get them done.
Still waiting on the RIGHT 1811 to replace my AG/G filler, otherwise here are my better 1809's and 1814's If you stay committed to this series, you can build a fantastic collection. Be patient and don't always rely on slabbed examples, and don't always think all raw coins have problems; almost every coin in my collection was purchased raw at some point, even this 1809 (now PCGS-40)!!!
I've had this one for a number of years. It's in an old green label holder, and it's almost certainly been dipped, but I still like it as a type coin. Do any of the specialists here know if it's a scarce variety?

<< <i>Haha, nope, I'm good waiting on the 1811
Edited to add: I counted you having 53 different Bust Dime die marriages; a handful of which I still need!

That is a very nice JR-1!
Well, not your stuff, but your dimes!
