A nice surprise from JMRC

As soon as I got my order in with the mint for the 25th ASE sets, I responded to a BST ad from John Maben and his company. We agreed on a price, and it was a done deal. Yes, the sets subsequently went through the roof, but a deal is a deal, and one's word is his integrity. I saw on the forum where John Maben said he would give a JM Thank You Bonus for those who honored the deal. When I got my sets, I immediately sent them to JMRC. Yesterday, I received my check. I was expecting some token amount as a thank you. What I received was a $500 bonus! Regardless of what the sets are going for, they did not have to offer one red cent. But they did respond with a large bonus. To me, that is not only incredible, but somewhat rare in today's hobby. We always read here about someone making a "kill," or being shafted by unscrupulous people. This deal was truly a "breath of fresh air." It says much about JM and his company, their operations, and their integrity. A big "thank you!"

I guess we gotta stop slamming dealers around here for a couple days eh?

Thank you Larry for publicly acknowledging the bonus. Hundreds of people like yourself kept their word, and sadly a few dozen did not including a handful of forum members. After dealing with the slime that didnt understand a deal is a deal it made us appreciate even more those that do get that concept. We got every excuse in the book, from my dog ate the coins to lengthy legal explanations as to why a legal transaction was never consummated. Some, even a few that we've had long relationships with just cut and ran never to be heard from again. Others just plain told lies which we caught them in like "my order was cancelled" when we have proof of delivery and in another case a guy said his wife would not let him order and not only did he order we bought the coins he bought (invoice in the box) from the dealer he sold them to in Michigan!

Well, an elephant never forgets and neither does JM and Co. Every one of these dirtbags is on my wall of shame. If I as a dealer or any other dealer behaved the way some have in this ordeal we would be blasted by name with no mercy but it seems the public is not held to the same standard.

Well, I apologize if I took a VERY GOOD thing and used it as an opportunity to speak about a very bad thing but it's been bothering me and I had to get it out. Thanks again to Larry and many others that act with honestly and integrity in the way they deal with others.

Thanks,
John
