Houston show new stuff, morgans and a peace dollar

I had a good time at the Houston show. It was a good opportunity to see old friends and spend time looking at coins. Nice coins were in demand. I was at the show Thursday mostly to help out the coin club and spend some time to scout out good coins. Bad thing was by Friday, a few of those coins were gone. In some cases, many of the nice coins were gone Thursday before the show was open to the public through dealer to dealer transactions. I was able to make some nice purchases.

Overall, the show was good to me. I had to wait to see coins, to make purchases, and submit some stuff but not enough to put me off.

I got a nice 1879-s rev 78 ms62 pl from Don Rinkor, always good to see his inventory.




Also picked up a dark original looking 1895-o XF45 from PQ Dollars.




Then for good measure included a 1925-s ms64 from a Texas dealer.

I got it from Larry Cundari in booth 708 on the far right isle of the show as you walk in the entrance. He had several nice peace dollars, I only picked one and left the others for the collectors planning to attend on Saturday.
