When I used Dansco albums for coins, I used to clip little ends off of slides. Usually from a scrap album.
But if you trim off a shim that is as thick as the Dansco page, you can insert it AROUND the coin and it keeps the coin from turning AND holds the slide OFF the coin surfaces.

I did that to keep my large cents in place, but didn't think about it for the others.

I cut mine on a bias so they tapered a bit and the slide slid better.
