Am I a weirdo if I love both vintage AND modern?

I collect all Yankees stuff (insert your "no, THAT'S what makes you a weirdo" jokes here) and get just as big a thrill getting a nicely centered old Maris card as I do a cool '90s Jeter insert. Love 'em both! If it's a cool card, it's a cool card!

My baby is the Eddie Mathews related sets, but I also have a run going at the Teixeira Basic/Master set(s). (I have 200+ Teixeira cards that I'm submitting for November/December specials).
I'm not too much a fan of the game used stuff though, but I do like the modern serial issues - those are fun to collect.

<< <i>Teixeira master set, very cool! Classy player with great numbers, should be headed to the HOF one of these days. >>
As a Texas fan, I'd take exception to the "classy" part, but that's just my opinion. As for his HOF chances, Baseball Reference shows an uncanny resemblance between his career the last 4 years and that of Carlos Delgado. Is Delgado in the HOF discussion?

For the record, I'm a devoted Angels fan. Having Teixeira around for half a season in 2008 was awesome, and I was disappointed that the Angels didn't pursue him more aggressively. Though, under Arte's control, it's hard to compete with the Yankees budget.
