Well, I follow just about EVERYTHING. I couldn't limit myself to a top 10 because I closely watch/monitor dozens of leagues around the world and really don't even have strong preferences. Whenever I tried to end my list, I felt like I couldn't snub one of the leagues/sports.



Let's give this a try... This is a general ranking, with my level of interest in each changing throughout the year depending on various competitions, seasons.

NFL
NHL
MLB
ASP World Tour Surfing
NBA
College Baseball
College Basketball
MLS
English Premier League and the Scottish Premier League (and whatever Division Livingston FC is in)
NASCAR
Australian Rules Football
Rugby League/Union (Super League, NRL, State of Origins, 4 Nations, 6 Nations, Super 15)
Formula 1
IRL
Other European Soccer Leagues (Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, A-League, etc)
AHL/ECHL/SM-liiga (Finnish hockey)


All I can say is....thank god for computers to be able to check in on all these leagues frequently and watch highlights. Everything else deserves "honorable mention" because I'll watch just about any sporting event you put on tv.

It's amazing how much NASCAR has fallen off. Between the death of Earnhardt and the stupid chase, many don't care anymore. I would rank them as follows (personal preference):

NFL
College Football
NHL
College Basketball
College Hockey
MMA
NASCAR
MLB (mainly just playoffs)

So true! This year had one of the best finishes ever. Not a single thread, why? Because it is losing popularity. All of the new tracks lend themselves to spread out racing which is a bore to watch.

They have even messed up the super speedways. Daytona and Talladega were fun to watch. A 30 car pack inches apart at 200 mph! At any moment the big one one could happen. That was thrilling, the two car thing going on is kinda boring too.

Bristol was a thrill to, until they changed the banking. Now you can go around someone instead of moving them out of the way.

The two-by-two racing at Daytona and 'dega is horrible. What a bore. And yes, they ruined Bristol and a few other short tracks. Who ever thought you could see 4 wide anywhere there? The chase sucks. Many of the new rules suck. New paint schemes every week sucks. The tried to get new fans and have, but lost a lot of the loyal, paying fans.

And yes, I like wrecks too. The beatin' and bangin' of Bristol use to be the best 2 races every year IMO.

I rank the NBA ahead of MLB. Both have their problems. NBA can be boring for two hours and all the excitement is at the end of the game. Regular season doesn't offer much except for a few matchups. NBA does have some tremendous athletes that are absolutely spectacular. MLB bores you to death for 3.5 to 4 hours or more. Slow, slow, slow. Did I mention the lack of action except for a play now and then.
