First vintage card I ever bought - 1952 Duke Snider

Well, I got a scanner so bear with me if this doesn't work. Anyway, the first vintage card I ever bought was this 1952 Topps Duke Snider. It's a real beater and cost me the princely sum of one dollar back around 1978 or so. To this day, it's still the only 1952 Topps card I've ever owned.

<< <i>Great card and great price! I have cards in off-condition that I bought in the 1980s before I opened a store that are off-condition, but I just wanted the card (i.e. 1948 Bowman Feller, some 1953 Bowman Color). >>
Yep. Back in that era, I used to pay near book price for VG cards. There was little premium for mint cards then and also little penalty for beaters. I remember selling 1961 Mantle and Maris in PSA 2 type condition and got $125 for them.
here's my '52 Duke, a tad more well-loved!
