Counterfeit PCGS holder?

Does this slab look a little off to you? The font on the label doesn't look right to me.

Fake, based on the perimeter (sealing edges) of the slab.

The hologram looks sketchy. I don't think the hologram should overlap the barcoding. Doesn't look right. I don't know if the seller is aware. He/she has a good track record and 100% feedback.

The Ebay pictures seem to match the pictures from when the coin sold at Heritage in 2005. Perhaps it is just a poorly slabbed coin.

I don't see anything wrong with the holder, only the price wanted by the seller. Three times PCGS retail looks way too much to me.

I think he/she cropped the photo to remove part of the edge of the slab.

Slab is totally ok as is the coin. The cropping makes it look a little weird at the edges.

Cert # checks out and this coin has previously sold in the same holder here at HA.

i believe it to be real. i don't think that fake pcgs slabs have the hard-to-see hole that appears to the left of PCGS, under the date. if you look at a real slab closely, you'll notice this darker circular area to the left of PCGS...that's actually a hole in the insert. it's hard to explain, but i can see it and i don't believe the fake slabs have this. i hope this makes sense.

I defer to the more experienced. I am glad there was a way to trace the history of the item to a trusted auctioneer. That gives more assurance to its authenticity.

Slab Generation 8 which is the same as Gen 6 but with the Series and Coin Number added.

Slab looks fine. look at some of my auctions and you'll see the slabs cropped a bit also. Based on the lynch mob here I guess I'll not do that any more. --Jerry

To me, the PCGS slabs with the SERIES and COIN NUMBER on the label seem to have the GRADE in a font that looks a bit smaller than on the current labels, like on the recent China fakes. Is this an optical illusion or is there actually a difference?
