  • How does PSA grade the edges of a card like the Reggie? It is a beautiful card. Very nice sir.

They will not downgrade for rough cut on this issue. I've seen 10s with rought cuts like that.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I posted that same question about two "furry" 1979 OPC George Brett cards I had. They were a bit less furry then this Reggie. I submitted them both to PSA and 1 came back an 8 and the other a 9. We'll see how this card does if PSA ever offers a special again without such a high minimum requirement.

It REALLY is sad that I didn't receive my Christmas Bonus at work until today... I couldn't participate in this Black Friday sale. Oh well... I'll make up for it soon enough. image
  • started opening an 89 fleer box. Johnson was corrected but I got a Rick Face. First one I've pulled since 1989.

That is one nice looking Reggie!!! image

Hey Tim, very nice 75 mini cello pack. Congrats on the Fisk.

And Eric, just drop off those unopened packs to my house and I'll keep a good eye on them while you do your Christmas shopping. image

WOW the Reggie is spectacular and the Stu Voigt card reminds me of the Joker in Batman.

This was my first time ordering from BBCE. They were very impressive in the packaging and delivery time. All I ordered was a 1988 Topps rack case and a 1988 Donurss rack case. I was looking for packs with HOFers on top (I know they'll never be worth anything).

The Donruss rack case yielded 17 packs with HOFers or future HOFers on top, led by a pack with Nolan Ryan and a couple with the Tom Glavine rookie. I didn't fare as well with Topps: Just 7 packs had HOFers on top (since they have a glossy all star card in each pack, there's really only 2 chances per rack). The best Topps packs had Ripken on top and 2 packs with Boggs on top. No packs featuring multiple hall of famers.

They really are the best. Welcome to the drug we around here all BBCE image

i like what you are doing with the rack cases. i am doing the same thing, just have to get around to opening my rack cases. What i really like about doing this with the rack cases is that the packs without stars showing can be thrown away without any guilt! lol

    Got my shipment:

1987 Topps BB Rack Box - bought for nostalgic reasons. The first packs of cards I ever opened were 87 Topps baseball. Jose Canseco was my favorite player (eventhough he ended up being a jerk), so I thought it was fitting that one of the racks right on top had a Canseco showing. Eventhough they're not worth anything (even with the stars and rookies showing), I'm not opening any of the packs.

1991 Proline Signet - decided to see if I had any luck pulling an auto. Pulled a Flipper Anderson auto. It's no Mohammed Ali, but I'll take it.

1989 Pro Set Series II - lots of fun. I loved this set when I was a kid. Ended up pulling 5 Barry Sanders and 1 Troy Aikman.

Thanks for letting me share. image
