Any Bat Experts in the house today?

Good morning everyone. Happy Thanksgiving weekend (or what left of it)
So Im a big Jose Canseco fan and for Christmas, my gf is going to get me what Ive wanted for a while - A Jose Canseco game used bat.
This thing is that I know he mostly used Rawlings or Worth Model Bats - Even Big Sticks...
But How do I know if this one in particular happened to be one purchased in a store and was signed or if it was game used?
Things that make me lean more into it was game used are -
1- The knob has the inscription JC along with a number and the model of the bat
2- It has "33" written on both the front and bottom like most players do
3 - It says Jose Canseco model - but that one might not mean much because Ive seen on eBay under the name, it says the team sometimes
4 - Other bats this seller have also happen to be from Steve Garvey and 2 other players
Now I wrote to the seller and asked how he obtained and this is what I got back -
"I obtained it from a collector who obtained a lot of bats via the Dodgers organization as he had an inside connection but that is only from the National League..." along with other stuff about details on the bat. He did go on to say that he's had it for 13 years and that he purchased it for $375 back then. It really didn't give me an answer as the history of it. Maybe it was game used because Steve Garvey did play for the Dodgers as well.
What do you guys think? Game used or did all the Jose Canseco Worth bats come with that inscription? Why would it say #33 in the front and end barrels? Unless it was also used.

Canseco's GU bats shouldn't be much more than $200. There are tons of them out there and the demand is not that great.
The seller sounds really cool actually and I believe him so I think its good to go. Eventually Ill get it psa/dna but with the holidays around the corner - that part will have to wait.
Thanks for the input so far guys.

Ironman - I would love to have something that has more wear on it. You can see some marks on the bay but its like if it was used for a few games or even batting practice. There was one that I was really stuck on that looked nice and a bit beat up with scuff marks but the seller thinks someones going to pay as much as he wants for it. I wont because Canseco bats go for around $250 on average Ive been seeing so to get one of his (even if it wasn't used as much) for $150 was fine by me. I just wanted a little piece of history from my favorite player of all time is all.
The bat is going to go up on my way - so cant wait!!
Thanks again - u guys rock
