RIP. I always enjoyed reading his posts. He'll be missed.

I may be one of the few on the PM forum to have met the great Bear in person. He is truly one of a kind, and a class act all the way.

While he often played the forum fool, his numismatic skills were first rate. I posted this on the USCF, but it will get lost in the sea of posts there. Bear told me the story of how he made one of the first slabbed MS68 Morgans. He bought the coin raw, had it graded, came back 68 and sold it at auction for a huge profit.

The passing of anyone loved is always tough to take, being around the holidays makes it even rougher imo.
Didn't know the guy, but can tell that he was admired and respected here. My thoughts go out to his family in this time of their loss.

Always was glad to what Bear had to say. He knew this day was coming and I'm sure he was ready for it. Our prayers are with the family and hope he went peacefully.

You will be missed and remembered.
