While he often played the forum fool, his numismatic skills were first rate. I posted this on the USCF, but it will get lost in the sea of posts there. Bear told me the story of how he made one of the first slabbed MS68 Morgans. He bought the coin raw, had it graded, came back 68 and sold it at auction for a huge profit.
You will be missed.

Didn't know the guy, but can tell that he was admired and respected here. My thoughts go out to his family in this time of their loss.
