So how did everyone do at Stacks today?

I did really poorly, did not win any of the big ticket items I was going to bid on as most of them got above what I felt was fair value pretty quickly, particularly for a bunch of ungraded pieces with lots of carbon spots. I did get 2 things though, a 1797 penny in 61BN, and the raw 1787 ESC 1640 pattern sixpence in about EF.

I missed out of the one big ticket item I was chasing. The loss freed up some available funds to pick up some tier two (second choice) items at a reasonable price.

The halfpenny went for $1416, hence why I dropped out. I hope that is the new price for the VIP George V's, that would make my '35 in NGC 66BN worth a whole lot more than I paid for it. The halfcrown went for $1888 (both with the juice). I also put in bids on a couple of the ELiz. II pieces, but since all of them had visible carbon spotting I just could not see paying big money for them so lost out. I was really surprised at the prices of the 57 & 58 1/2d's, these were raw, and not attractive coins at all, and both went for around $800.
