Sharing my 1981 Topps Joe Montana PSA 8 "My First Card" 11/16 Auto

Hello to all! Just wanted to share that I finally landed the hard to find "My First Card" auto and inscription! Montana signed only 16 of his rookies cards this way. Too bad they didn't grade the auto back then, looks like 9 or 10 to me. I've seen other numbers sell as high as $535 on ebay. I got this at what I hope is a deal at $350. If not, I don't care, I wanted it pretty bad! Ha! Oh well, its only money. Please leave a comment and thanks for looking!!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

<< <i>What's the background to that card? Was it a high-profile private signing or something? >>
First, thanks again for all the comments! Yes, private signing, Triumph Sports, and a PSA Official, were present when Montana signed the 16. Then they were slabbed and distributed. I don't remember what year it was. Perhaps one can tell by the cert number? If I remember correct PSA asked Joe if he would do it as a special signing, and of course, Joe Cool said yes.
<< <i>Real kewl auto. Nice looking too. If he has not signed any others with that inscription after those 16, you have a real nice piece there. ENJOY. >>
No others signed in this manner! Thanks for the comment
Well, I might as well show my hand signed auto. Its hard to get a PSA/BGS 8.5 or higher card grade, on a hand signed. As you know, most hand signed are of low card quality.
