Target toned 1941C Newfoundland 10c.....

I rarely see toning this nice.
The pictures do not show the colors and luster of the coin very well.
Much better in hand.
ICCS ms65.

Seller's slightly juiced pic, but fairly accurate for what it looks like in hand:
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
I've been slowly putting together a MS Newfie type set but finding good material at prices I can afford isn't easy.
The Victorian coins in MS are quite pricey.
The mintages on most of the Newfie coins is very small but the lack of popularity tends to keep the prices down, esp. for the later issues.
I wonder what caused that. Heat?
I'm not suggesting it was "artificially" heat-toned. I've just seen coins that were stored in a hot attic pick up that sort of toning from whatever paper they were stored in, is all. But that's here, in the coastal Deep South. I wouldn't imagine attics in Newfoundland get THAT hot in the summer. (Here, they can top 120 degrees Fahrenheit- 130, even.)

I'm really not sure. Newfoundland coins seem to tone much differently than other similar coins for some reason.
