Marc Melcher Brockage Collection

Hello everyone-

A few years back Harlan Berk (I think through the Gemini sales) sold the Marc Melcher brockage collection. Sadly, I can no longer find my HBJ catalog!

Does anyone have information on this collection or collector? I have a few pieces of his in my collection and would enjoy learning more about a previous collector with a similar passion.

Thanks.

Forum member "Greeniejr" (David Greenstein) works for HJB, albeit in their Liteside department, I believe.

Yes, he does. He works with those "modern" coins. image I would contact the folks at HBJ (who are just plain awesome!), but thought I would start here first.

Yes. Although there may have been other collections, it is the largest one of recent (early 2000s) that comes to my mind. Coins from his collection are currently offered by a few dealers and it is one of the few collections of ancient errors that is provenanced.
