<< <i>You just bought the exact card for $425 Now selling for $900 a week later. hmmmm >>
It was free listing day so I have nothing to lose. If I listed it in Memory Lane's auction it would probably get close to that. >>
I hope you get as much as possible for that card. Just wondering what you are basing your "if I listed it in Memory's auction that you would get close to that" on, considering the last three sales:
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Morning,
Wow, where did I miss the memo of this Not being a Free Market anymore, you don't like his New Flipped Price, then don't pay it ! What's so confusing about that ?
Just Wow........sometimes the subjects of consternation around here are just amazing !!!!

Then you have to worry about getting paid from them, Memory Lane that is.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo. ~WalterSobchak
Obviously you can list for whatever starting price you want, but cluttering the boards with kind of stuff is obnoxious. I've got a ten of thousands of dollars worth of cards that I would be delighted to sell for 3x VCP. Should I just list them all in a thread here and waste everybody's time?
Edit to add: The OP isn't the only one who's done this, and I'm not singling him out. But this board would be best served if FS offers were restricted to cards that are priced at something close to market value. There's nothing wrong with trying to snag a sucker with a card priced 2-3x over market (I do it quite a bit myself), but keep it on Ebay; don't bring the nonsense here.
I appreciate the posts in defense of me trying to make a profit. It is really alarming in the vitriol and ignorance of a couple of the posts. This board is a great place for information but the confrontational attitude in a growing number of posters is annoying. I won't apologize for posting about 10 things a year on the board that I sell that members may be interested in. The memory lane reference was just a metaphor as the big auction houses seem to consistently get great prices for low pop PSA 10's. Enjoy your weekend.
