eBay issue - Advice please

One of my auction listings besides cards was a computer accessory. The buyer sent me a note that the item did not function. I told him to return the item for a full refund. He never returned it. Instead of returning it, he gave me a negative. image

What recourse do I have to eliminate this negative, my only one ??????
Thanks.

  • ootp@ebay.com, Schad Desing, high up admin, complain several times to him and he normally gets back... The best way to get to him is leave a message at the office of the president (you have to be connected there by a security guard).

Or you can call the out of country monkeys and hope they do something.

    They won't remove that.

That's pretty much what feedback is for.

Just be happy he didn't return it AND give you a negative

I suppose if his overall buying experience was a negative one (I know you offered him a refund), he left what he felt...

You can respond to it, so any potential bidders can see that you attempted to make it right....

  • Actually guys, negative feedback can be removed now. You can request the buyer revise feedback they left. The number of times you can request feedback revision is based on number of items you have feedback for I think. I actually had a neg removed recently for a $2 item that must have been lost in the mail. The seller never contacted me and just left a neg. I called them and we worked it out and she changed the feedback.

Search for ebay feedback revision and that should take you to the right place to see if you qualify for it.

Ignore it. FB is only important to a small portion of buyers. If you have good FB other than the neg, most people wont give it a second though
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • I agree with reponding to the feedback, just say something like "a full refund was offered, my apologies".

I don't worry about a single negative from anyone, especially if the seller says he tried to resolve it.

Yeah, I used to REALLY obsess over feedback when buying, but now any large feedback seller with anything over 98% or so is OK with me. Anyone selling for any length of time is going to get dinged IMO, so I don't let it bother me when buying.
