I thought it would do better. I know what the seller paid for it and he broke about even on the deal with slabbing. This coin is not cheap in any auction and it is the last mining thaler of Germany.

I would interested in Forum members' views on why the prices listed in Muenzen Revue are generally lower - in some cases, much lower - than those in Money Trend. For example, one of the coins sold on Ebay this weekend was an MS-65 1903-J mark. Muenzen Revue lists it at 500 Euros in Stempelglanz, while Money Trend is at 1800 Euros.
Any clue as to what's going on?
This leaves the University of Berlin 3 Mark and University of Jena 2 Mark as the next coins on my hit list ... while the Mansfeld 3 Mark would be nice ... I would need to save up for quite some time for that one.
Oh well ... so goes the hunt ....
