So the coin I bought is already in the registry, and I sent the removal request....

I sent the removal request last Saturday. Today is Thursday and it's still not been removed so I can add it.
Is this normal or how long does it normally take?

The email response says three working days.

Just follow the instructions they give you. It says to give it 3 days, if not removed then scan both sides of the slab and email to the registry and they will remove it so you can add it to your inventory. I have had to do that a couple times and never had a problem, within a few minutes of sending the email all was good.
I never met a coin that wouldn't fit in my collection.....
  • Use the cert verification, bottom left side of home page. Type in your cert number and it should tell you whose set your coin resides in. Then find their set and e-mail them, if you can. Otherwise, scan the front and back of your coin and send the images to setregistry@collectors.com. They will remove the coin from the previous owner's set.

Unfortunately, when your first request to have it removed does not
work, the above (great) advice is the only real means left to us...
