ESPN 30 for 30: "Unguarded" the story of Chris Herren

Very well-done documentary on former NBA player and high school star Chris Herren, chronicles his lifelong struggle with drug and the ultimate redemption, it was very moving and inspiring. I was moved by the people in his life, from his college coaches, his brother, mother and especially his wife. Glad to see he can turn his life around and now doing what he can to reach out to others. Hope you guys get a chance to watch it

Watched it; there was a lot of local interest here in the MA/RI area.

Extremely well done! I remember seeing him play Minnesota @ The Barn while he was at Fresno State. I don't recall him having a strong game. I didn't realize he made it as an NBA starter for Celtics...
    Enjoy your collection!

30 for 30 are pure gems, some of the best made documentary out there.

Agreed about Herren's wife being a saint image

Keep that show and the 'Josh Hamilton Story' on your DVR's for repeated watching when you think life hasn't dealt you a fair hand. Inspiring to say the least.

Too bad I didn't record it ... and I can't it anywhere online, maybe I will wait for the DVD set.

It wil be available under ESPN if you have a sports ON Demand channel. I didn't even know I had this channel until last week. They had the Bartman 30 for 30 and one on agents up there this week. Good find.

Loved watching Herren when he was starring down the road at Fresno St. I'm a huge fan of redemption stories, but this one was special.
