checked the vcp value of the t206 ty cobb green portrait for a psa 3 and its only like $1500 but i see everyone thats selling them on ebay are going for close to $3000. is $2000 to much to pay for a 3??

collecting and maybe re-sell a few years from now

then if it is a strong 3 im sure that is why they are recorded at 3, and weaker 3's maybe paper loss or other defects getting 15.

That is a true investment card. Cant go wrong with a Green Back Cobb.

I would consider paying close to $2K for a really nice "VG 3" from either PSA or SGC, provided it was really sharp and its only flaws were a couple minor wrinkles on the surface. PSA 3's like that are hard to come by, and I'm sure most of the overpriced 3's on eBay are average-looking for the grade.

And I agree with the others about this card -- it's simply an iconic card within the hobby, and could be considered a cornerstone to anybody's collection.
