Hi Jim...Happy Halloween. I am reading threads and watching football while the wife hands out candy.

    I got a good one.

My wife said she'd be late home - and I was going to a meeting - so...

I took a bag with about 75 to 100 mini bars of candy - put up a sign - sorry we're not home - "take one" - Happy Halloween.

We usually get about 10 to 15 kids - the neighborhood doesn't have tons of kids.

So - everyone - how many bars were left?

I think I may have overdone it with our Halloween props between the gravestone, zombie climbing out of the hole. scary music, and my grim reaper outfit. But what really kept most kids away were the resealed 87 Topps wax packs.

I agree with Mike ... NONE! That Sh*t happened to me tonight. It was about 7:00 pm. I was home by myself ... had to use the little boys room ... so I took the bowl of candy, placed it on my front step and added a note in it saying "take two each please". Got out of the little boys room (OK, so I was in there for ten friggin minutes) and opened the door to bring the candy back inside ... IT WAS GONE, including the damn bowl we have been using for the past ten years. Geeze, they could have dumped the candy in their bag and left the friggin bowl! LOL

I'm sorry Doug, I was really hungry. I'll return the bowl tomorrow once I get it back from Eric.

Mike, it wasn't me. Airfare is too much to justify the cost. image

10 bags of candy, 240 packs of 2009 UD Threads Football, 250 superballs and 50 glow sticks. All that is still here is about 8 Reese's Cups. Pretty busy, but this is Salem, MA.

Very few trick or treaters, maybe 30. Lots of candy left, going to have to use willpower.

Got my first trick or treaters in about 6 years here. I stopped buying candy about 4 years ago.

It was a bit awkward. Lucky my car wasn't egged. LOL

They were cool about it though

Let me get dressed up. I'll be right there.
  • Also... Probably had about 200~ kids come by... Most of them walked in groups of 10.

I'd say that we had at least one hundred kids. Most all of them were very polite and it was fun to see them dressed up ... especially the real little ones.

PS. I hope the kid(s) that stole the bowl of candy get big cavities from the candy and it costs their parents a few hundred dollars in dental bills! LOL
