How would you like a Mint produced reproduction (right down to the year) of a classic coin?

    Wow!

I always loved all the Mustangs I've owned over the years!

    1966, 1967, 1968, 1988.

As for the implications, from what I understand, a numbers matching car is exactly that. All the Numbers which have been documented as avilable for the years of production must match so I don't really see any threat to the Mustang Collectors of America.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

From a safety point of view, I wonder if the "new" cars need to have seat belts and airbags installed...which wouldn't be a bad thing...but which would preclude using the original thin steering wheel assembly.

    Funny, but true.

Lots of foreign mints have done just that, restriking coins with "old" dates, perhaps from original dies in many cases.

Austrian "1780" Maria Theresa thalers and "1915" ducats and 4-ducat pieces come to mind.

1804 comes to mind for some reason.

I always thought that it would be neat if the mint would buy up old worn out Morgans, melt them and use the silver alloy to restrike the series; one business strike and one proof.
