  • That is completely insane. image
Let's try not to get upset.
  • I have never seen a heavily toned morgan in a dmpl holder before, never thought they existed! The reverse is a no brainer but the obverse would be a tough call imo.

It is in the right holder. The reverse planchet issue will help hold it back.

Ummm, that's not a 66 unless you're slabbing it in your basement. I'd say 63 with a + for eye appeal. Look at all that action in front of Lady Lib and on her cheek... that is definitely not a 66 or heck, even a 65.

It is best to have this coin locked away at night. Otherwise, you wouldn't go to sleep at night and would be up all night looking at it!!!!

A wonderful coin - though that statement is a pointless redundancy where your coins are concerned.

Looking at the dollar, the grade surprises me. To my eye it should be higher.

The eye appeal overrides the grade at any rate. Eye candy.

No,Its a stone cold 64,but as i said,i have seen worse slabbed in PCGS 66 DMPL slabs without 8 inch mirrors as well.Doesnt matter like you said, its all about eye appeal for me.image
Great coins are not cheap, and cheap coins are not great!
  • That just means they were not really 66's then.

Let me know when they are grading such coins as 66 and I will be sure to send mine in.

IMO 62 at best with enormous areas of contacts and abrasions esp on obv. - all through the field areas, into the hair and devices on high points that is not just softly struck.
