I recall the earlier post with the image. The coin was easy to see as special and for certain a gem example of its type. The new image though really shows the coins attributes a remarkable piece in all respects strike , color and surfaces are spectacular in my opinion . image

That's a coin to dream about. Beautiful... Thanks for sharing. Nice O.117a with a beauty of a die crack, most likely LDS with those stars drawn out as well.

I think the graze on the cheek probably holds it back from a full 65 grade. MJ

Still like the coin a lot and Todd's photo really highlights the positives of the coin. One of Todd's greatest attributes as a photographer is when he is able to capture the overall 3-D characteristics and look of a coin. He did it well here (Tom took a good photo here as well).

And to answer Loupe, yes, that coin came from Bill and Christine.

I initally refrained from looking at this the first few times I passed by, 'cause I was skeered it would cause extreme jealousy in my greedy little peasant heart.

I was right. It did. Shouldn't have opened this thread. Bummer. image

Oh, well. Now that I'm here, I might as well enjoy the view, huh. image
