Because they are so cool, and many are one-of-a-kind
I do believe it would put a significant premium on sealed boxes if anyone were to find anything unusual as minor as it might be.
<< <i>I have to admit to not knowing who John Nanney is so I cannot comment on his potential impact on such a find.

I think he is that ol'southern redneck feller that gained his 15 minutes of numismatic fame by discovering the 2008 Rev of '07 Silver Eagle . . .

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

Thank you. The search feature here hasn't worked for me for some time.

John Nanney, though I have never spoken with, or dealt with him, directly, is the person who allowed me to buy close to 15 one day when they were at $99......the very next day, they doubled in price...a few days later, they were worth multiples of the original $99. Even though I don't know him personally, I owe him a debt of gratitude. When I ordered them at $99, by the time I received the order, they were upwards of $600 on the 'bay.....wound up selling at near $500-$550, and still have a FS coin, so, THANK YOU JOHN NANNEY.....you helped me hit it at the PERFECT time....c'mon, ordered one day at $99, they doubled by the day after (literally doubled...that was the sellers asking price, a seller of modern items that is well known here...won't mention seller's name, and by the time I got them, I had no problem listing them with a high BIN, and 'best offer'...the 'best offers' were quickly accepted....a $99 item selling for 5 times that within a week or so is worth at LEAST a thanks. Also, my order was for coins graded ATS as 'Early Strikes'.....after all was said and done, after I counted all my profit, I still managed to trade an entirely different coin for a FS coin graded by our hosts. Early, early on, the holder seemed to make no difference in prices realized, though it certainly did shortly afterwards....glad I got all my $99 '08 Rev '07 graded from ATS sold when there was just a flurry of activity with buyers just buying them, regardless of what holder they were in. So, thanks, John.....enabled me to buy one or two things I thought I wouldn't be able to afford....but, hitting one out of the park before the 'rest of the world' discovered them, as it all unfolded for me, boy was it an easy flip....and buyers had to pay the big $$ to get them (still do......never dropped back to $99, like alot of flips seem to do. Seemed like the prices realized on ebay, and dealer selling prices went up almost every hour.
I did VERY, VERY well, even though it cost me $99, which was about 3 times issue cost...those that got them at mint issue cost did even better. Lots of forum members, LOTS, owe John thanks......LOTS of forum members did VERY well on this issue.....VERY well!!!

I did get some from the mint, I think 4 or 5 from a box of 10 ordered because of John.
I also ordered from MCM when they first sold them I think also around $100

an error (like the 2008w) could be identified POST grading.
Fat chance! Those disappeared Thursday.

Reminds me of John Glen's quote when someone asked about what it felt like sitting on top of a rocket..."I felt about as good as anyone would, sitting in a capsule on top of a rocket that were both built by the lowest bidder."
