can I send a sealed box to pcgs and only have 2 of 5 graded.

I did not want to put ASE in the title but that is what i am asking. Can I send my 5 sealed sets in and request that only the key coins be graded?
Regards,

Jim

Why not just open the sets, pull the key coins (Rev. Proof and S mintmark) and send them to PCGS. Because they are unique to the set they don't have to be in a sealed mint box to get the 25th anniversary label. You can even cherry pick the ones you want graded.

  • i was just looking at the 2006 prices. Seems people like to pay a premium for a FS label.

The key coins can still get First Strike if sent in unsealed within 30 days of issue. Sealed package only becomes a requirement for First Strike after the 30 days. And even then the shipping date on the sealed box has to show they were shipped to you from the mint within the 30 days of initial issue.
