A Card Collector's Twelve-Step Program

1. We admitted we were powerless over wax packs—that our collections had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a power greater than GEM MT 10s could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our cards and money over to the care of PSA as we understood them.
4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of the pop reports.
5. Admitted to 70ToppsFanatic, to ourselves, and to the CU Forum the exact sequencing of our packs.
6. Were entirely ready to have PSA detect all defects of our cards.
7. Humbly asked the 'Grader of Death' to remove all qualifiers.
8. Made a registry of all cards we had graded, and became willing to make upgrades to them all.
9. Made direct purchases of such upgrades wherever possible, except when to do so would damage our marriage.
10. Continued to search BBCE's inventory and when we find vintage wax promptly purchase it.
11. Sought through ebay surfing and pack ripping to improve our set registry with PSA as we understood it, paying only for bumpable BGS slabs and the power to crack them out.
12. Having had a financial awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other collectors, and to practice these principles in all of our dealings.

Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.
I take offense and criticize the original post, and don't accept it in the spirit that you meant it.

I'm offended, and I'm the one who wrote it!
courage to change the things we can,
and wisdon to know the difference.

Speak for yourself.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."
"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."
Collecting:
Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.
<< <i>God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change,
courage to change the things we can,
and wisdon to know the difference. >>
OR
GOD, grant us the serenity to accept the grade of PSA "8" when were expecting PSA "9",
courage to crack out that "8" and resubmit hoping to get the one point bump and an extra $500.00,
and wisdom to know the difference.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
