If you guys and gals could be so kind, I would like some good close-ups of the date, mint mark and die crack on the authentic 1914d penny.
I'll post pictures of one in question if I can't figure out myself.

I would guess 1909-S VDB, but there are a ton of both.

Yep. I think so too, but 1914-D fakes are usually easier to spot on quick examination, especially since so many of them are altered 1944-D cents and too many alterations have VDB on the shoulder.
There's at least 2 different mint mark positions.
It's blurry but this pic shows the crack west of the date, it goes from the rim into the vest.
