This thread is all about what precious metals and/or coins you picked up this past week. Someone will start a new one next Friday.
I picked this piece, and paid a hefty premium for it, just because I thought it was cool. The seller defintely knew what he had, there are only 200 minted of these. He showed me documetation and 1970Silver Art here has verified it for me (thank you).
Also got these coins, an '03 O Morgan that I strongly feel is a 65 and the '21 Peace in common grade, but for what I was able to get them at, I couldn't pass them up. They are both, most likely, are cleaned though. Gonna have my guy with 40 years experience take a look at them today.
Oh yeah, these too. My infatuation with early Engelhard and/or JM silver lives on Thought the Prospector one is cool too. Never owned one before, so had to have it.
So what did you pick up this past week?

I know someone who did!
I've been wanting one of these kilo bars for quite a while and when I saw this at a decent price and here in America, I jumped on it.
I think it to be older with the serial number in the 8000's, what do you all think?
It's all about what the people want...
speaking of Pamp ...bought these from a CU member...should get them today/tomm!
Includes the 4 Ladies Pamp bar I have been after.
Loves me some shiny!

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Very Cool looking Bar, Way to Go !
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it - Clint Eastwood
I got a great chuckle out of that!

Yep I agree that the seller knew what he had. If a regular local dealer saw this in their .999 generic silver bin, then they would not know what they had and they would have treated (and priced) it as .999 generic silver. Silver art bars with low mintages such as this American Mint bar are very hard to find. Even on ebay, they can be very hard to find. Congrats on your purchase.
The 21 has a weird gloss which could indicate a cleaning.
However if you got a steal enjoy the coins!!!

That's a big 10-4 good buddy LOL!!!
piecesofme, the 3 oz JMC looks familiar. Did you pick that one up from a dealer at the Pittsburgh ANA earlier this month?
Nope, scored it on eBay. Made what I even thought was a lowball offer and the guy accepted it. Go figure?
Looks like alot of us got out there (or had items come to us) and picked up some really nice stuff folks. Nice job everyone!
It's still Friday, so I'm gonna add this to this weeks pull. Picked them up on the way home from work at a local jewelry store that I only go in about 4 times a year because they usually don't have squat...but they did this time, and for a good price too
Even with a chunk missing from the Silvertowne bar, it still is slightly over 5 ty oz's...5.015 ty oz's.
I've never seen an old National bar like that and the 4.96 ty oz "no name" bar already has a visible acid test done on it to take away any doubt lol. I've checked it myself, it's the real deal. Had to share these finds too.

"The Thomas Rogers" silver art bar is an interesting find of this bunch IMO. It was minted in 1974 by Mount Everest Mint. The "MEM" that you see on the bottom of the reverse side of this bar stands for Mount Everest Mint.
EDIT: The Coors Light Silver Bullet bar was minted in 1985.

Thanks again 1970SA for the info. I've got another one of the Thomas rogers ones of a different locomotive called "The Camel". It looks very similar to the one I have shown. Was that a series of locomotive silver bars that they produced, and if so, how many were in the series?
I really thought that Coors one would carry a nicer premium, but it looks like someone won the same kind of one (Sunshine Mining Company) on eBay for $38? But yet there's a seller trying to sell one for over $100 LOL. Did the $38 buyer steal that thing or is the $100+ seller just out of his mind?

According to the 4th edition Archie Kidd silver art bar guidebook, The "Camel" and the "Thomas Rogers" art bars are part of a series called "Great Locomotives". In this silver art bar guidebook, I counted 10 art bars in the Mount Everest "Great Locomotives" series. The guidebook also lists the mintage # of 5000 per bar in that series and should be serial numbered. For Mount Everest mint bars that are serial numbered, the serial number should be on the edge of the bar. The serial # is usually on the top edge of the bar.
I do not follow these particular Mount Everest Mint bars on ebay but with a high mintage of 5,000 for each bar, then I am making a wild guess by saying that these probably would fetch around an ebay winning bid of $10 over spot silver. Honestly, I am not sure since I have not looked at any past winning bids on this art bar.
As for the Coors Light bar, $100 is way too much for it IMO because I do not think that it is a rare bar. The guidebook that I looked at does not have a mintage number for it but my gut feeling tells me that this is a common silver art bar and $38 sounds right to me on this one.
