let me tell you a lil story from 2006. back then i didn`t have a smartphone so when the mint posted new items at 12 noon i had to wait till 4:30-5:00 when i got home to order. i got my 10 sets of 20th anniv. sets and all the plats i wanted but the gold anniv. set was different.

i got home and added to my cart and hemmed and hawed at the price but finally pulled the trigger.

i think the order was placed on first day but back then there was no mention of a wait list.



the order was in place and said back ordered with a cancel box sitting there.

i would check the site every couple of days and nothing changed.

after a couple months i would sign in and check it and many times i contemplated clicking that cancel button and being done with it.

low and behold i get an email in december that it shipped. santa did come that year!!!

my point is if you have a valid order in place then never give up. i got my set late but were not returned coins.

Yep....and a good reason that I don't use a CC that will expire in less than a year when I order from the mint.
Overkill, but it keeps me sleepig better at night

I had the same experience with 2006 W Platinum Eagles. I ordered and was put on a waiting list. A few months later (if I recall correctly), I received an email from the mint stating that my order for two $25 W Eagles was on its way.
