Coin Photo Lens Q --> Adding a Raynox DCR-150 to a DMW-LC55?

lsicalsica Posts: 1,585 ✭✭✭✭
Hello Group

I have a DMC-FZ35 that I currently use with a DMW-LC55 for macro shots. Can the Raynox DCR-150 be mounted to the front of that lens for uber-closeup shots, like looking at Liberty's nose hairs (or for more practical things like die marks on letters)? image Btw yes I do have all this on a sturdy copy stand). I know I could just get a DCR-250 and get about the same capabilities, but I like the idea of being able to have 2 (LC55), 5 (150), and 7 Diopters (both).

Thanks to all.

    Decided to order one and see what happens. I'll post pics from it (and also from it stacked with the LC55) once I get it. The C/S person said the mount on the DCR-150 isn't so tight that it would damage the LC55, we'll see when I get it. If it does it should make for some nice close-in shots at full 18x zoom. If my math and science are right, the 3 Diopters of the LC55 and the 5 of the 150 should make for combined 8 diopters for 12.5 cm/5" minimum focusing distance. Lighting properly at that close might be a challenge, we'll see. DOF might be touchy too. We'll see image
