That was my first thought as well. They look a little loose.

From the top picture of 13 rolls, 5 or possibly 6 of the ends of the rolls showing in the picture look nice and tight and unopened. The remaining 8 or possibly 7 rolls look like they have been opened. I suspect that if a picture of the other end of these rolls was posted by the OP it would show that the 5 or possibly six rolls have also been opened.

Conclusion: these coins in these rolls have already been looked at and cherry picked.

These were collected by an older man back in the early to late fifties,
His son in his sixties brought these in.
He had lots more rolls, the funny thing was he said he wanted more than copper weight for these.
The rolls that he brought in also had 55-D & 56-D, I've been checking the 56 for the D&D mint marks ,
All the coins are bright red in those rolls with the ends being a little loosely wrapped.


That being said, what's a full red roll of BU 1951 cents worth ?
