I'd rather go with tried and true. Look at some the lots offered from the Rainbow Collection thru Stack's/Bowers at Baltimore. Plenty of common dates there with nice patterns, and they're already in happy holders.
Not for me. There was a coin posted here recently with a pattern something like the first coin and it was said to be bag toning. This one, I don't know.
A well I'm thinking AT on both but then again the pictures aren't very good and it is just the obverse and when a seller gives just one side in a poor pic I tend to avoid the auction, tone or not.
Well, after a second look.....apparently correct(?) color progressions and repeats, but slightly fuzzy images. These coins make me nervous, but I am not sure why. Pretty poor feedback with many unhappy folks and an apparent habit of misidentifying things and overlooking flaws. Also, no returns on some autographed items and returns on others - a practice whose users I avoid like plague. It will be interesting to see the submission results.
Well, I think so too, perhaps both. Both are pretty unusual. But, I am always open to learning. Someone said the OP has a knack for seeing good toned coins in bad photos so I am open.
I can imagine the 2nd one is a poor photo of a Morgan with monster bag toning. I hope so for your sake! It looks like natural bag toning to me if I am allowed to auto adjust the photo a bit in my mind. The first might be fine too, but isn't as desirable in my personal opinion. Please do post better photos when they arrive.
The first one worries me, because of the scratches/gouges on the obverse- they could be deep enough to ruin any grade... the second one may be nice, but the obverse pic is not good enough to know, and there is no reverse pic... hope they turn out ok for you!
My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !
Got the coins in hand today. I'm very confident they are both natural bag toned pieces. Both have great color, although #2 is very baggy and probably shouldn't grade higher than 61. #1 is a a 63, shot 64.

Could be wrong though since you have an eye for seeing through poor eBay photos!
My only caveat is the possible lack of luster.

The second one.......not so sure, the toning pattern worries me somewhat.
I hope both have some great luster. I would love to see your images when you get them.
