He made lots of Sox fans happy with the announcement that Lackey will not pitch for the Sox in 2012!

Is that a normal clause in contracts?

BTW - is it me or does Cherington sound EXACTLY like Theo? Their voices are similar, they speak in the same tone, use the same phrases....it's almost like he's a Theo clone.

Not a bad thing as the Sox did well under Theo. Hopefully he can can continue the developing of the farm system and have a better eye for high priced FA's.
