I believe his value has peaked. There will be a slight spike when he hits the HOF if he has not been found doping.

His cards will rise. He continues to build up amazing numbers as evidenced by what he has done in the series with the Reggie and Ruth record of 3 home runs and I forget the other records he matched. He also continues to build up the HR, hits, and RBIs just as Hank Aaron did. Love him or hate him, he is the real deal and he will be recognized as one of the all time greats with Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, Aaron, etc..... JMHO

Over extended periods of time... does the price of milk go up? Does the price of gas go up? Do new car prices go up? Home prices?

Yes, the value of Pujols cards will go up in the future... but will they keep up with inflation, maybe not, but I ain't betting against it.

Unlike all those vintage cards that people love, with 10's, if not 100's, of thousands of copies still out there... with very likely several thousands of high grade (7+) examples in existence... the majority of key Pujols rookie cards are numbered to 1500ish or less (several way less). Supply is already constrained, demand should always exist... to what level in his post-playing days remains to be seen, but I can't see it dropping, especially not long term if he keeps up his production in the short term.

Yes, the value of Pujols cards will go up in the future!

The prices will probably go up. They'll probably go down too.
