FS: 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980 Topps Baseball Wax Trays---ALL SOLD

I unfortunately need to move these to concentrate on other area's of my collection. I am going to price these to sell quickly. These Wax Trays are becoming very difficult to find, in fact Steve/BBCE has none of what I am selling below. My pricing includes delivery as Long as you pay via paypal "gift" or check and will be underneath where Steve/BBCE sells these, when he even has them in inventory. These are becoming very difficult to even find.

1978 Wax Tray-SOLD
1979 Wax Tray-SOLD
1980 Wax Tray-SOLD

Graded Cello/wax pack cases-$325 delivered. I have two of these and that's all I have.

Lot#1 is being sold as a lot only, as the postage on shipping individual wax packs/cello packs would kill me.

  • You can get 94.51 for the Jordan Sticker after fees from thepit.com so that is a very good deal.

    Indeed.

For anyone that doesn't know, Matt's a stand-up guy that puts quality first. I've done business with him in the past and have always been 100% pleased.

    Great communication and service. >>

No doubt. Sadly, he posted this right after I went on a mini-spree for some unopened.

I prefer to sell via the boards, I would have to increase the prices if I went to EBAY to cover the fees. I am very well known seller on these boards and have hundreds of references. This is a smokin deal for someone.
  • NO worries about Matt as a seller. I have bought from him at least three times, and one of those purchases is by far the most valuable card I own. All transactions were flawless!

The wax trays go for quite a bit less on ebay. You don't see the 77 or 78 too often, but the 79 and 80 come up all the time.

Thanks, but your pulling a quote in regards to previous items I was selling. I recycle my sell threads as not to have multiple threads taking up board space for fellow board members items. Additionally, you will have a very difficult time going out on EBAY or anywhere and purchasing these wax trays for $425 as is listed if you take the entire lot.

    Those look really nice.

    I have a serious question.

BBCE has '78 wax packs on his website for $20 per. If the wax trays have three of those packs, why would someone want to pay $125??

Is the price inflated because of the collectibility of the trays, or is there more to it than that??

Again, Matt, you seem like one of the great guys on the boards, I'm just trying to understand something I don't know much about. The trays would sure look good in my collection, so just trying to learn more.

    thanks,
    shawn

Shawn, that's exactly why the price is inflated, your buying the collectibility of the tray itself. I hope that whomever purchases these trays, does not do so with the intention of ripping the packs.
