Gold Commorative Collectors-- Thoughts on the Army gold commemorative?

I'm kicking around the thought of purchasing an Army gold commemorative. I'm really not a fan of the design, but like gold commemoratives generally. I'd welcome your thoughts please.

I personally like the MOH $5 gold better.

I do too, the medals are quite dramatic and dignified in IMO.

If you're looking for value,it appears that the army gold coin will sell less pieces than the moh gold coin.As soon as the SAE set frenzy is over I will be getting one of each,uncirculated of course.

When I learned the Mint was going to reprice the current Army and MOH gold, I purchased both of them in proof and BU at the old price. (Just in the nick of time too, they went off sale for repricing the next day!).
At any rate, I find the MOH coin a much more attractive coin than the Army. It really pops in proof.
Try looking on eBay for MS69 examples, you may find MS/PF69 examples below current Mint prices.

So, you think that the ARMY unc apt to be an issue that sits around melt long term?

Bought both the MOH MS and PF. Just like the design better. Not interested too much in the army.

i thought the medal of honor was better looking as well. what the heck, get both if you can do it

Sales thus far for both uncircs is below 7,500 each.

Latest Mint Sales Figures

The mintage figures will increase a lot as we get closer to the end of sales. Is it a keeper regardless? Or better to pass on this and wait on next years issues?
